Bolsonarista protesters gathered on the afternoon of this Monday (7), Independence Day, on Paulista Avenue in São Paulo, at an event called by presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro. The crowd occupied about two blocks of the avenue, concentrating mainly near the Museum of Art of São Paulo (Masp), despite temperatures of 13°C and the forecast of rain. Participants wore clothes in the colors green and yellow and carried banners and signs criticizing Minister Alexandre de Moraes from the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
Flavio Bolsonaro arrived at the location shortly before 3 PM and positioned himself on the sound truck alongside his wife, Fernanda Bolsonaro, and political allies. At the event, there was a doll representing Minister André Mendonça, also from the STF, known as "pixuleco." Organizers called on those present through social media for the event that marked the celebration of Independence Day.
