The Pavilhão Municipal da Maia hosts on Sunday, the 13th, at 5 PM, the second edition of the AF Porto Futsal Super Cup, which pits FC Estrelas Susanenses, from Valongo, against Balantuna, from Gondomar. This competition marks the official start of the new district futsal season.
In the inaugural edition, in 2025, GCR Vermoim claimed the trophy by beating Clube Académico de Sangemil 4-1. The Maia venue thus hosts the decision for the first trophy of the 2026/2027 season.
FC Estrelas Susanenses secured their place in the Super Cup after being crowned champions of the TRUST League, a season that also ended with the Valongo side's promotion to the III Nacional Division of Futsal.
Balantuna arrives at the decision as winners of the AF Porto Futsal Cup, conquered in May at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Baião. The Gondomar side defeated Miramar Império 5-1 in the final and lifted the trophy for the first time in their history.
