The Penela Multi-use Pavilion will host, on September 12 and 13, the 4th edition of the International Dodgeball Tournament. The event brings teams from various countries to the municipality, promoting international sports exchange in this sport that has gained popularity in recent years.

The tournament organization has the support of local entities, which intend to position Penela as a destination for reference sports events. The tournament also represents an opportunity for economic and tourism dynamization for the region, attracting participants and spectators to the territory.

The dodgeball modality, originating from the United States, has been gaining practitioners in Portugal and Europe, being practiced both in competitive and recreational contexts. This international edition reinforces the growth of the sport in the European continent and the growing interest of Portuguese athletes in participating in high-level competitions.
