A fire broke out at a plastics company in the municipality of Batalha, district of Leiria, leaving one injured. The fire consumed material that was stored outside the company's facilities, Simplastic.
The fire mobilized 41 operatives to the scene. The company's managing partner, José Monteiro, stated that the fire started in "plastic bales," part of the material stored outside the facilities.
The causes of the fire remain unknown. The incident occurred at Simplastic, a company dedicated to the plastics sector.
