Russia and North Korea inaugurated, this Monday, the first road bridge that crosses the border between the two countries. The bridge over the Tumen River has one kilometre in length and two traffic lanes.
The infrastructure represents another sign of the close relationship that the two countries have developed since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. This physical connection between the two countries reinforces the diplomatic and economic ties that have been strengthening in recent years.
The bridge represents a milestone in the connectivity between Russia and North Korea, potentially facilitating trade and transport between the two nations. This development comes in a context of growing cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.
