Works to requalify Avenida António Enes and access routes to Queluz Station and the Citizen's Shop are underway, representing an investment of over 1.3 million euros. The works are promoted by Sintra Municipality and the Municipalized Water and Sanitation Services of Sintra.
The intervention includes the remodeling of water supply and sanitation networks, as well as the renovation of equipment destined for urban waste collection. The requalification of a central area of Queluz is also planned, with the creation of new leisure and stay spaces.
According to the municipality, the works will allow the improvement of pedestrian circulation in the area, including the creation of accesses adapted to people with reduced mobility and the construction of a new staircase. The intervention also aims to reinforce security and accessibility to existing equipment and services in the area, namely the railway station and the Citizen's Shop of Queluz, which is installed in the Municipal Market.
