The former Formula 1 boss, Bernie Ecclestone, was intercepted at Tires Aerodrome, in Portugal, with a shotgun for which he did not have documentation. The Tax Authority confirmed to SIC that he was found with "an object for which there was no documentation".
The case was reported by Correio da Manhã, which specified that it was a shotgun. Portuguese authorities identified the object during a check at the aerodrome.
Bernie Ecclestone, who for decades was the strongman and main face of Formula 1, was in Portuguese territory at the time of the incident at Tires Aerodrome.
