A 37-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto during a party in the municipality of Felgueiras, after GNR military from the Vila Cova da Lixa Territorial Post discovered three knives in his possession. The incident took place on September 5th, during a policing operation at a festive event in the region.
The military approached the suspect because he was allegedly consuming a narcotic substance. During the intervention, a security search was carried out which allowed the seizure of the three knives.
The man was arrested for possession of prohibited weapons and was made a defendant. The facts were subsequently referred to the Judicial Court of Felgueiras to continue the proceedings.
The GNR did not specify whether the suspect was involved in any incident during the event or if the seized knives were actually used.
