The clinical director of the Regional Hospital São Francisco de Assis, in Cabo Verde, revealed that a few weeks pregnant woman survived the accident with a bus which occurred on Saturday on the island of Fogo. The accident was described as a "miracle" due to the gravity of the situation.

A six-year-old child also managed to survive the accident. The hospital did not provide more details about the health status of the surviving victims.

The accident occurred on the island of Fogo, one of the islands in the Cabo Verde archipelago. Local authorities are still investigating the causes of the incident.

The Regional Hospital São Francisco de Assis is the main hospital unit in the region that treated the victims of the accident.
