CDS-PP of Madeira defended this Monday, during the Festa dos Romeiros at Chão dos Louros, an increase in the minimum wage to 1,050 euros next year, as well as average salary growth above the inflation rate. This traditional festival marks every year the start of the new political year for the centrists.
The proposals were presented by the party leader, José Manuel Rodrigues, who was at the center of political attention at the event. The centrist leader took the opportunity to reiterate the party's positions on economic and social issues.
The Festa dos Romeiros is a traditional event that serves as a starting point for the political activity of CDS-Madeira. This year, the interventions focused mainly on measures to support the middle class and on valuing the salaries of Madeiran workers.
