The Madeira Football Association (AFM) promoted, last weekend, an awareness action for pediatric cancer during the Junior, Juvenile and Initiation Super Cup games. The initiative took place at the Câmara de Lobos Stadium and was organized in partnership with the Madeira Regional Nucleus of the Portuguese League Against Cancer. The action is part of the national campaign called Golden September, which aims to raise public awareness about childhood cancer. Before the start of the sporting encounters, players and referees showed their support for the cause by wearing golden ribbons and balloons, the internationally recognized symbol of solidarity with children and young people affected by this disease.
