The lehendakari Imanol Pradales considered that the end of the legislature could be precipitated de facto if the president of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, fails to channel the migratory crisis in Ceuta.
Pradales warned that Ceuta acts as an "accelerator" of citizens' concern regarding the migratory issue, worsening the current political situation.
According to the lehendakari, the problem lies both in the "inability to adequately manage" the situation by the central government, as well as in the impact that this crisis has on citizens' perception of immigration.
This intervention by Pradales comes in the context of political tension arising from the migratory crisis in the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta, located in North Africa.
