The building of the former Externato de Nossa Senhora do Incenso hosted, from September 3 to 5, the 63rd edition of the Almada Municipality Camping Club (CCCA) camp, bringing over a hundred campers from across the national territory to the municipality of Penamacor. This was the first time Penamacor was chosen as the location for the club's annual meeting.
The camp program included cultural, sports, and recreational entertainment, as well as visits to the historical, cultural, and natural heritage of the municipality, with emphasis on the Freixial Camping Park.
The City Council and the Municipal Assembly of Penamacor attended the opening session, represented by Councilor Guida Leal and the President of the Municipal Assembly, Valéria Gonçalves. Both officials welcomed the participants, highlighting the natural beauty of the municipality and the hospitality of the region.
Valéria Gonçalves stated that "Penamacor is a beautiful land that knows how to welcome," expressing her wish that participants would carry Penamacor in their hearts and return always. Guida Leal thanked the municipality for being chosen, inviting the campers to discover the historical, cultural, natural, and gastronomic heritage of the region.
