JPP accuses PSD of failing to deliver 60 houses promised for June in Câmara de Lobos

Miguel Ganança, deputy for Juntos Pelo Povo (JPP) and councilor in Câmara de Lobos, demanded this Monday explanations from the Regional Government, IHM, and the municipal president about 60 homes promised by the PSD that should have been delivered by the end of June and which, already in September, remain unoccupied.

On March 21, Miguel Albuquerque and Celso Bettencourt announced the delivery of 15 apartments in Jardim da Serra by the end of June. Ten days later, PSD deputy Sérgio Oliveira extended the commitment to more homes, raising to 60 the total number of houses promised.

JPP now questions why the homes were not occupied within the announced deadline, demanding clarification about what went wrong with the promise made by the party that governs the region.

The situation arises in a context of recurring criticism of PSD management in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, with the opposition pointing to failures in promises made to voters, particularly in the area of housing.
