Authorities launch campaign on the use of safety devices

The authorities have launched an awareness campaign on the use of safety devices. The campaign runs until next Monday.

The campaign includes awareness actions by ANSR, the National Road Safety Authority. It also features enforcement operations carried out by the GNR and the PSP.

The information was transmitted through a joint statement from the authorities involved.

EU warns that candidate countries must not glorify war criminals like Mladic

The European Union warned that the glorification of war criminals is inadmissible by candidate countries to the bloc, in a direct reference to Ratko Mladic, whose funeral is taking place today in Serbia. The warning comes in the context of Serbia's accession negotiations to the EU, which requires the country to demonstrate commitment to European values, including the condemnation of war crimes committed during the conflicts in former Yugoslavia.
