The 33-year-old Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech is on his way to Botafogo permanently and at no transfer cost for the Brazilian club. The player leaves Wydad Casablanca, from Morocco, to sign for the Rio de Janeiro team.
Ziyech signed a contract with Botafogo until December 2028, representing a long-term commitment for the veteran player. The operation was completed without transfer costs, making it a free transfer.
The Moroccan brings with him extensive international experience, having represented top national teams and European clubs throughout his career. At Botafogo, he should strengthen the attack of the team coached by one of the club's homegrown coaches.
This transfer comes at a time when Botafogo is looking to strengthen their squad with experienced players for the upcoming seasons. Ziyech thus becomes another major signing for Brazilian football.
