Art comes to life in Luso with fixed statues that breathe the quietness of the streets

Diário de Coimbra7 September 2026 at 10:00

The street art festival in Luso featured 18 artists who brought to life characters inspired by old professions. The fixed statues, which "breathe the quietness of the streets", transformed the village into a true open-air art stage.

Between the surprise of visitors and the demanding execution of the artists, the event managed to create moments of interaction between the public and the works. The event's photo gallery captures the highlights of this edition.

The festival brought a differentiated proposal by combining art, tradition, and public space, leading visitors to discover characters that evoke trades from the past in the streets of Luso.
