The judokas from the Marinheiros de Ferreira do Zêzere Association achieved the bronze medal at the Madrid European Kata Tournament during last weekend. The team represented the Santarém District Judo Association under the national umbrella of the Portuguese Judo Federation.

The Ribatejo delegation that traveled to Madrid was technically guided by coach Manuel Francisquinho. The athletes successfully surpassed the European kata competition, securing third place on the podium.

This result represents an important milestone for judo in the Santarém region, demonstrating the technical quality of practitioners from Ferreira do Zêzere at the highest European level in the kata modality.
