Sarandon declared at a press conference that films were taken away from her recently because there are agencies that continue to tell people not to hire her. The 79-year-old actress considered that public perception of the conflict has changed in recent years, although she believes the consequences for those who express certain opinions are still present in some sectors of the industry.
Sarandon was dropped by her representation agency in 2023.
