Germany. Far-right achieves historic victory in Saxony-Anhalt

The far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD) achieved a historic victory in the regional elections of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, held on Sunday. This victory represents a significant milestone for the party, which has been gaining ground in German politics.

According to the results, the AfD fell just three seats short of an absolute majority in the regional parliament. This result demonstrates the strong presence and acceptance of the party among the electorate of Saxony-Anhalt.
