The city of Penafiel hosts on September 20th a solidarity run and walk called "Penafiel Run'26". The event combines sporting practice with a solidarity cause.

The tournament, held on September 5th and 6th, was part of the official calendar of the Portuguese Tennis Federation as a level C event, in the under-14 and under-18 categories.
