The president of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, and the leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, participated this Monday in the Nueva Economía Fórum forum in Madrid, at an event that featured the presence of seven regional presidents and the Secretary of State for Territorial Policy, Miryam Álvarez, who heard the criticism directed at the central government.
Both officials pointed to Morocco as responsible for the crisis in the autonomous city of Ceuta, using more direct and incisive language than on previous occasions. Vivas criticized Pedro Sánchez for "not being up to" the situation, while Feijóo went further by stating that the Spanish prime minister would have prepared "some kind of cession" to Rabat.
The forum took place in a packed ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel, in the center of Madrid, and received a wave of applause and cheers for Vivas, who appeared as the central figure of the event. Álvarez, the representative of the central government present at the venue, impassively heard the barrage of criticism against Sánchez.
