Brazil is expected to remain far from the results obtained by rich countries. In the last edition of the exam, held in 2022, the averages of Brazilian students remained stable at a level considered low compared to developed nations.
Meanwhile, several developed countries recorded drops in their results compared to previous editions in 2018 and 2015. This comparison highlights the persistent differences between Brazilian educational performance and that of more developed countries.
The release of the new Pisa data occurs in a context of electoral debate, since education is frequently a topic of discussion during political campaigns in Brazil.
