Poiares gets new "faces" through the work of artist Beatriz Almeida

Notícias de Coimbra7 September 2026 at 07:51

This Saturday, the "De Caras" exhibition by visual artist Beatriz Almeida was inaugurated at the Exhibition Hall of the Poiares Cultural Centre. The show presents new "faces" that the artist created specifically for the cultural space, continuing her work exploring the human figure and identity.

The exhibition was presented to the public during an inauguration ceremony that took place on Saturday, allowing visitors to see the artist's works up close. The Poiares Cultural Centre thus hosts another exhibition aimed at enriching the region's cultural offering and bringing contemporary art closer to the local community.

Beatriz Almeida is a Portuguese visual artist whose work frequently explores the representation of the face and the human figure. The choice of the title "De Caras" suggests a reflection on the multiple faces and identities that make up the human experience, a recurring theme in her work.
