The Barca dos Corações Partidos company, celebrating its 15th anniversary, returns to the stage in September with the musical "Gonzaguinha é," premiering on the 25th at the Sesc Ginástico Theater in Rio de Janeiro. The direction is by Inez Viana, with text by Braulio Tavares and Ana Carbatti.
The show is about singer and songwriter Gonzaguinha (1945-1991) and marks the company's return to the same stage where it presented "Gonzagão - A Lenda," about Gonzaguinha's father, Luiz Gonzaga (1912-1989), in 2012. At that time, Barca premiered its first musical.
Ticket sales open this Tuesday (8), with prices starting at R$50. The show is described as an unconventional biography that draws from the composer's career and songs to show how Gonzaguinha found his own way to express himself through music.
