Edith Jullia Coupaud was born in Toulouse, France, in 1964. At just 20 years old, she made the unusual decision to enlist in the French Army, at a time when female presence in the armed forces was minimal and roles were clearly dominated by men.
Her military career led her to reach the rank of sergeant in Paris. However, after her experience in the army, Edith followed a completely different path, moving to Castellón, in Spain, where she became a fisherwoman.
The story of Edith Jullia represents a life marked by unconventional choices and the ability to reinvent herself, moving from a male-dominated military environment to a completely different life in the fishing sector.
