Actor Roney Facchini passed away this Sunday, at age 73. The news was announced by the Bibi Ferreira Award profile on social media. The cause of death was not revealed.
Born in São Paulo on February 6, 1953, Facchini had an important career in theater, film, and national television. Despite his artistic inclination, he graduated in Civil Engineering from Mauá School of Engineering in 1977.
One of his first prominent roles was in the series "Rá-Tim-Bum", on TV Cultura, where he played Luís, the patriarch of the Silva family, between 1990 and 1994. The actor also participated in various TV Globo productions, including "Malhação" (2004), "A diarista" (2005), "Caras & bocas" (2009-2010) and "Cheias de charme" (2012).
