The band Jota Quest performed at Rock in Rio paying tribute to Tim Maia, with the special participation of Tony Tornado. The show took place on a Saturday night marked by heavy rain, which couldn't hinder the presentation of the Minas Gerais band.
The spectacle brought a retro vibe, inspired by Carlos Imperial's TV programs. The band showcased their greatest hits, starting with "Vale tudo," which featured Tim Maia's recorded vocals and jokes about what is permitted between man-man and woman-woman.
The "Síndico" energy managed to warm up the soaked audience during the execution of "Gostava tanto de você," with breaths equal to the originals and irreverent animation from vocalist Rogério Flausino. The show continued with the "Rational Tim" of "Que beleza," accompanied by a beautiful female soul choir.
The more danceable rendition of "Primavera" seems to have pleased Tim Maia, since miraculously the rain stopped exactly at the moment the song was being performed, creating a special moment during the presentation.
