Botafogo and Palmeiras drew 0-0 this Sunday at Nilton Santos, in a Brasileirão match. The result benefited neither of the two teams: Palmeiras lost the league leadership, as Flamengo beat Remo earlier, and Botafogo continues to fail to react in the competition, without wins in five rounds.
The match was marked by the alvinegro fans' reunion with former players Marlon Freitas and Alexander Barboza, both now at Palmeiras. The reception began even before kickoff, with boos from the fans when the lineups were announced.
Botafogo fans also displayed the club's idols banner, which previously had Marlon Freitas's face on it. However, the player was removed from the tribute and replaced by former goalkeeper Jefferson. Then, the fans extended the part of the banner that had Marlon's image with the word "Judas" written over it, which ended up being torn.
