Ukraine considers legalizing pornography to increase revenue

Ukraine is considering legalizing the pornographic industry as a way to increase revenue for the country. A bill to legalize the sector has already been approved in general by parliament.

The initiative was presented by a deputy, who estimates that the revenue generated by the pornographic industry could be used to purchase around 30,000 drones for the Ukrainian armed forces.

The project comes in a context where the country is seeking alternative forms of funding to sustain the war effort against Russia. Legalization would allow taxing and regulating a sector that currently operates in clandestinity.
