FC Porto and Sporting secured over 42 million euros just from direct entry into the 2026/27 Champions League. This amount represents what the two Portuguese clubs receive simply for being automatically qualified for the competition.

The 42 million euro figure refers to the base participation in the Champions League league phase. This amount is independent of any sporting results the clubs may achieve throughout the competition.

FC Porto and Sporting are the two Portuguese clubs that have managed to secure this direct entry into next season's Champions League. The 2026/27 competition will be the first to follow UEFA's new format, which replaces the traditional groups with a league phase.
