Berlin prepares "protection shield" against sabotage, says newspaper

Euronews Portugal6 September 2026 at 20:25

The Berlin government is preparing a new cybersecurity plan designated as a "protection shield" against sabotage. The plan was reported by the German newspaper Bild.

The new plan provides for the creation of "Cyberdome", a network of digital sensors designed to detect and stop computer attacks before they can cause significant damage to the city's infrastructure.

This initiative comes in a context of growing concern about cyber threats and sabotage attempts against critical infrastructure in Germany. The system will function as a comprehensive digital barrier to protect essential services.
