The Cape Verdean government will pay for the funerals of the 25 victims of the accident on the island of Fogo

The Cape Verdean government will cover all funeral expenses for the 25 victims of an accident that occurred on Fogo island. The decision also includes the transfer costs for one of the victims to the capital, the city of Praia.

The State has also committed to paying the travel expenses for first-degree relatives of the victims, should they need to travel from Praia to Fogo island. This measure aims to support the families affected by the accident.
