CCRD Burinhosa won the Leiria Football Association's Cup of Honour by thrashing AR Amarense 6-2, in the final played this Sunday at Pavilhão Carlos Neto, in Marrazes. Tiago Moreira's team dominated the second half and built an expressive rout that allowed them to lift the trophy.

In the first half, Guilherme Araújo and João Costa put Burinhosa ahead, but the Batalha side managed to equalize twice, taking the game tied at two goals each to halftime.

In the second half, Romário, Alexandre Gaspar and Alexandre Ferreira scored the goals that sealed the victory, to which an own goal by AR Amarense was added, totaling six goals for CCRD Burinhosa.

This was the third Cup of Honour win for CCRD Burinhosa, in 2022, 2024 and 2026, surpassing AR Amarense's two titles. The futsal village club came only one title short of matching the record of the now defunct Olho Marinho, which won the competition four times. To reach the final, Burinhosa won the group stage with victories over AR Pederneirense (8-3), Gaeirense (4-0) and Arnal (6-3).
