The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, received in Kyiv the American envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. This meeting comes after the American representatives had previously met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

During the visit, Zelensky publicly thanked the United States for its support to Ukraine, demonstrating openness to continue cooperation with the American government.

The American envoys are now seeking to relaunch negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, after exploring the Russian position during their visit to Moscow. This diplomatic effort marks a new phase of mediation by the United States in the conflict.
