Portugal's Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, presented Portugal's condolences and solidarity to Cabo Verde following a serious road accident. The accident involved a bus carrying students and occurred on the Cape Verdean island of Fogo.

The incident caused at least 25 deaths, making it one of the deadliest accidents recorded in the Cape Verde archipelago. The nature of the accident, involving students, contributed to the strong national mourning in the country.
