Donald Trump's envoys met this Sunday with President Zelensky in Kiev, for the first time in the Ukrainian capital. The two White House representatives considered the conversations with Zelensky "very significant". The day before, the same envoys had been received at the Kremlin by the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin. This sequence of meetings marks a diplomatic effort to try to bring closer the positions between Ukraine and Russia.
