The sea was calm and the desire to enjoy was intact. Last Sunday, more than a hundred people from Castelló actively participated in Mediterráneo Accesible, a day that took place on the city's beach and once again demonstrated that disability does not have to be at odds with sporting practice and enjoying the sea.
The event featured various activities adapted to the sea, including amphibious chairs, adapted bicycles and snorkeling masks, allowing people with different types of disabilities to fully enjoy the coastal environment.
The day took place in the usual bathing area, with sun hats and walks along the shore, showing that, with the right equipment, access to the sea and water activities is possible for everyone.
The main objective of this initiative was to break barriers and demonstrate that disability does not prevent participation in water sports, promoting inclusion through adapted sport in the Mediterranean.
