Correio da Manhã6 September 2026 at 17:27

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Kyiv. This meeting represents a continuation of international diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

Before arriving in Kyiv, the American representatives had met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. This sequence of diplomatic meetings demonstrates an attempt to bring together the different parties involved in the conflict.

The US envoys are now seeking to revive negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. The main objective is to find a solution that allows the conflict, which has been dragging on for quite some time, to be ended.

During the visit, Zelensky thanked the United States for the support provided to Ukraine. This recognition highlights the importance of the bilateral relationship between the two countries in the context of the conflict.
