Chapada dos Guimarães National Park in Mato Grosso hosted the 12th edition of Bota Pra Correr, Olympikus's running festival, which reopened an ancient trail for running and tourism. The race took place this Sunday and featured 1,500 runners, a festival record. Three races were held: a 19km trail race and two on asphalt (12km and 21km), all on new routes within the park's visitation area.

The reopened trail was the "Trilha do Elisário," which had been closed for more than ten years and was previously used by visitors to climb Morro do São Jerônimo. This was the first time the location hosted a race, something that had never happened before despite its beauty and historical importance.

The project was developed together with park management and had authorization from environmental agencies IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources) and ICMBio (Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation), ensuring that the activity respected the environmental preservation guidelines of the conservation unit.
