In the city of Rio de Janeiro, the early hours of Sunday were marked by strong winds and the fall of a tree. The Alerta Rio system recorded wind gusts between 4am and 5am, with emphasis on Marambaia, in the West Zone, with 67 km/h, and Copacabana, in the South Zone, with 59 km/h.
According to the State Civil Defense, there were records of light to moderate rain in the capital and in the Costa Verde, Metropolitan, and Serrana regions during the early morning. The minimum temperature recorded was 12°C in Petrópolis.
The meteorological instability is caused by the displacement of a cold front, which should cause rain and moderate to strong winds throughout the day. The risks extend to other regions of the State of Rio de Janeiro, requiring attention from the population both in indoor and outdoor environments.
