Germany is preparing plans to strengthen defense against what are described as "hybrid attacks" from Russia. This information was advanced by the German Ministry of the Interior, which revealed the main lines of this national security strategy.
According to what was announced, companies managing critical infrastructure of the country will be covered by this new defense approach. This includes companies responsible for water supply and electricity distribution, sectors considered essential for the functioning of society.
In addition to these, defense sector contractors will also be included in this legal framework. The measure aims to ensure that these entities can act in a coordinated and protected manner when confronted with threats of this type.
The central element of this preparation is the legal authorization for these entities to actively defend themselves against drones. This authorization represents a significant expansion of response capabilities against hybrid threats, which combine conventional and non-conventional methods of destabilization.
