PSD in Barcelos contested the accusations made by the PS regarding the costs of the requalification of the Municipal Market. The socialists had warned about an alleged "71% cost overrun" in the works.
The social democrats rebutted that the comparison presented by the PS "mixes different contracts and works carried out at different phases," considering the accusation unfounded.
According to PSD, the initial contract was awarded by the previous socialist executive for 2.85 million euros, information that the social democrats used to defend that there was no increase in costs as pointed out by their political opponents.
