A fire this morning destroyed one of the warehouses of the Company of Warehouses and General Storage of São Paulo (Ceagesp), in Vila Leopoldina, West Zone of São Paulo. The incident began around 11:20 PM on Saturday, and the Fire Department took more than six hours to control the flames. No victims were reported.
The fire was large, with 16 fire department vehicles responding to the incident. According to the municipal Civil Defense, the warehouse was fully engulfed by the flames and suffered significant structural damage.
The site was isolated and temporarily closed due to the risk of collapse. In the late morning, fire department teams remained on site completing the mop-up operations and beginning the investigation into the cause of the fire, which has not yet been reported.
