The Duriense Classical Orchestra will perform at the Teixeira River Waterfront Zone in Mesão Frio on September 12, at a concert marking the closing of the summer cultural programming at that venue. The show is scheduled for 9:30 PM and promises to present the audience with some of the most well-known classics of music, with a different sound designed to appeal to different generations.
The orchestra was created in August 2025 and is mostly composed of young musicians. Its goal is to boost cultural activity in the region and bring orchestral music closer to the populations of the Douro. Since its creation, the project has already performed in several localities, including Vila Real, Santa Marta de Penaguião, Guiães and Peso da Régua.
The concert will be the last major cultural moment of the summer at the Teixeira River Waterfront Zone, where Bar dos Moinhos remains open to the public until September 13.
