Valpaços experienced on Saturday one of the most significant religious moments of the City and Municipality Festival in Honour of Our Lady of Health, with thousands of faithful accompanying the departure of the Patron Saint's image from the Mother Church towards the Sanctuary. The celebration mobilized a true multitude that occupied the city's streets along the route.

Amid prayers, hymns and moments of silence, the devotees followed the image of Our Lady of Health in a manifestation of faith that continues to profoundly mark the identity of the Valpaços community. The procession reaffirmed the significance of a religious tradition passed down through generations, which year after year attracts not only the local population but also many visitors and emigrants who return to the municipality for the festivities.

The moment constituted a public demonstration of belonging and connection to the land, bringing together different generations around a devotion deeply rooted in Valpaços. The route to the Sanctuary unfolded in an atmosphere of great popular participation, closing another of the central moments of the festivities dedicated to Our Lady of Health.
