Federal deputy Natália Bonavides, from PT in Rio Grande do Norte, publicly reported on Saturday that she received a message with threats of rape and dismemberment. The parliamentarian published the account on her Instagram account, informing that the intimidation included specific details about how the crimes would be committed and also contained personal data about her family members, such as CPF numbers and addresses.
According to the congresswoman's account, the gravity of the situation was aggravated by the fact that the message contained information about people close to her and her family. Bonavides stated that she handed over all the evidence to the competent authorities so that those responsible can be identified and punished. She is a candidate for re-election.
The publication revealed that this was not the first time the parliamentarian has suffered threats. In 2024, according to her account, an author of a message stated that he would go to a sugarcane field to do away with her. The deputy also mentioned another episode in which a person publicly spoke about her in a threatening manner.
