Ukraine: Zelensky begins meeting with White House envoys

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, met today in the early afternoon in Kyiv with White House envoys to try to reactivate dialogue that would allow ending the Russian war. The meeting was announced by the Ukrainian leader himself through a social media message.

Zelensky informed that the negotiations began at 14:20, Kyiv local time, which corresponds to 12:20 in Lisbon. The message was accompanied by a video showing the arrival of President of the United States Donald Trump's envoys at the meeting location.

The White House envoys present at the meeting were Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, both close figures of Trump.

After this meeting with the representatives of the United States, another session is scheduled with representatives of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, indicating a broader international diplomatic effort to find a solution to the conflict.
