Our Lady of the Nativity Festivities End This Sunday in Mem Martins

The Festivities in Honour of Our Lady of the Nativity, in Mem Martins, came to an end on Sunday, September 6, after a Saturday that included an edition of the Folklore Festival and a concert by the Némanus brothers.

The last day of the festivities began with an open-air mass at the Chapel of Mem Martins, at 3:00 PM, followed by a procession through the main streets of the parish, at 4:00 PM. Along the route there was traditional selling of fogaças.

The Sunday program also included a dance at the Mem Martins Sport Clube, with the performance of Duo Nélson & Nélson, at 4:30 PM. During the evening, there were performances by Jorge Morais, at 8:45 PM, and Sangue Ibérico e Banda, at 10:00 PM.

The festivities featured food and craft spaces, as well as the presence of local institutions. The organization was by the Parish Council of Algueirão-Mem Martins, in partnership with the Parish of São José – Algueirão, Mem Martins and Mercês.
