Sepultura performed their last show at Rock in Rio this Saturday (5), ending a presence of more than three decades at the festival since their first edition in 1991. The Brazilian metal band is on a farewell tour, with the definitive end scheduled for November 7 in São Paulo.
After the performance, the group posted a thank you message to the audience on their official Instagram profile. "RIO, YOU WERE INCREDIBLE! 🔥🇧🇷 Another chapter of our history was written together. Thank you for being with us once again. Forever in our memory. THANK YOU Rock in Rio," the band wrote.
In a show review, Bernardo Araújo commented that the use of the vast LED screens helped the metal crowd ride the quartet's heavy wave. The critic also highlighted that the band said goodbye to the festival with their usual weight and competence.
